At the 9ideas conference in Douala, Cameroon in March this year, an android-based tablet was announced to be coming out of Congo later in September.
Designed and engineered by VMK, a Brazzaville-based interactive agency and Internet Technologies which specializes in Internet strategy consulting, website design and web application development, the tablet is the first to come out from franco-phone Africa.
Update: Here are some of the specs of the tablet device:
- 7 inch (capacitive) screen
- Android 2.3.3
- 1.Ghz processor
- 512 RAM
- 4Gb Memory
The pre-released VMK tablet doesn’t reveal the screen. Apparently, the company is currently registering some patents, thus is yet to reveal the tablet’s screen.
For now, we really can’t say much about the tablet until we can get a hands-on experience and feel of the tablet device. Hopefully, we’ll get a detailed review here when the tablet finally gets launched.
