Nairaland Falls Off Alexa’s Top 10 Website Ranking in Nigeria

Nairaland, the largest online forum in Nigeria has dropped off the top 10 websites in Nigeria for the first time, according to latest statistics from Alexa.

The site which now ranks number 11 in Nigeria after being displaced by LinkedIn (ranked number 10) still maintains its position as 2nd most popular Nigerian site on Alexa.

From the latest stats, Nairaland’s traffic has been dwindling since November 2011 as the graph below shows.

In July 2011, Nairaland lost its position as the number one most visited Nigerian site as Vanguard, a leading newspaper site beat it to become the number one Nigerian site.
