Samsung To Unveil Its Budget Smartphone, Galaxy Pocket in Nigeria

World’s leading phone manufacturer and smartphone maker, Samsung is launching its latest smartphone, the GALAXY Pocket in Nigeria tomorrow and Techloy will be live at the event.

The Android 2.3 smartphone for the budget-conscious consumer features a 832MHz single-core processor, 2.8 inch display, a 240×320 resolution, 3 GB of storage (expandable with an SD memory card) and a 2-megapixel camera, which places it amongst other low-end android devices.

So far, the reviews of the Galaxy pocket, which aims to be easy on your pocket have been good. At the moment, there’s no official word on the price yet, but it is expected to be one of the cheapest Android smartphones out there.

Update: We’ve just learned that the smartphone would likely sell for about N18,000, but we’re yet to confirm this.

The smartphone was unveiled in South Africa in late March.
