MEF, the Global Community for Mobile Content and Commerce has announced the finalists for the ninth annual Meffys Awards which features mobile advertising network, TwinPine and team collaboration app, Prowork.
The Meffys are the global benchmark for measuring success and rewarding innovation in mobile content and commerce. With more entries than ever before in 13 categories, from over 35 countries across all five continents, the Meffys reflect mobile’s ever-expanding role in consumers’ lives.
Both TwinPine and Prowork were nominated for the Innovation Award for Growth Markets, and would be competing with biNu, Comviva’s Lend Me Balance and DOTGO. [See the full shortlist for finalists of the 2012 Meffys]
The nominees would be pitching to the C-level executives at the MEF CEO Summit to be held at City Hall, where international CEOs from companies such as Mozilla and Kaspersky will vote for the most innovative mobile product or service and reward the winner with the CEO Summit Award for Innovation.
The Meffys Gala Awards Dinner will be held on September 12, 2012, where the winners of the 2012 Meffys will be announced. Judged by an international panel of over 30 journalists, academics, analysts and VCs, the awards are acknowledged as the global benchmark for measuring success and rewarding innovation in content and commerce.
African mobile developers and start-ups were invited to participate in this year’s Meffys Award thanks to an ongoing partnership between All Amber, organiser of the leading mobile focused events in Africa, and MEF, the global community for mobile content and commerce.
