Award-winning Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Oloyede who starred in the popular comedy-drama, “Jenifa” has signed an endorsement deal with Jobberman, the leading jobs website in Nigeria.
The deal, reportedly signed in late 2012, would see the actress acting in a new role as brand ambassador for Jobberman for the next one year. We’re not sure exactly how much the deal is worth, but we hear it is worth millions of Naira.
We reached out to Jobberman’s co-founder, Opeyemi Awoyemi who confirmed the news, although did not comment on the deal’s worth, but said the actress is going to be a major face on the job search company’s activities and campaigns.
By that, it means that the actress would be appearing in Jobberman’s TV commercials and we’d likely be hearing her voice on its radio jingles. We also expect that she would appear at Jobberman events and other marketing and promotional campaigns for the company.
Through this deal, the company hopes to reach out to a new set of people who are not aware of the existence and usefulness of its services. The company becomes the
second third Internet brand to have celebrity endorsement deals, after iROKOtv and Wakanow.
