Nigeria’s Civil Defence Commandant Gaffes About Organisation’s Web Address [VIDEO]

We know that remembering web addresses sometimes could be an embarrassing, yet pardonable mistake. But when you can’t tell what your own organisation’s website is or you gaffe when asked, then you must be certified clueless.

That’s how the Lagos State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC), Obafaiye Shem, seems to be after claiming that he has never visited his organisation’s website, in a Channels TV interview.

When asked to mention the NSCDC’s web address, Shem said: “I cannot categorically tell you one now.” But after further questions about which website people can find information about the organisation, the commandant gave the address as ww.nscdc

While we hope that you’ve not broken a rib while laughing, it goes without saying that for governmental organisations to be this clueless about their websites in this 21st century, they need to justify their budgets on web design and development.

As for individuals working at such organisations, please don’t be like the commandant who doesn’t have what it takes to command respect for the official website of the Civil Defence Corp found at www.nscdc.gov.ng
