Nigeria’s SpectraNet Is World’s Most Crime-Ridden ISP – Study

A new research study finds that the world’s most crime-riddled Internet service provider is Nigerian-based company, SpectraNet. According to the research, 63% of site addresses hosted on SpectraNet’s servers were found to be sending spam, which represents the highest proportion among 42,201 ISPs studied by Giovane Cesar Moreira Moura, a researcher at the Centre for Telematics and Information Technology in the Netherlands. The research also finds that about 50% of all junk mail, phishing attacks and other malicious messages came from just 20 networks.
