A new technology hub located right at the heart of the Lagos innovation cluster in Yaba is launching today in order to provide entrepreneurs support to build software skills, solutions and businesses critical to their success.
The hub called Information Technology Developers Entrepreneurship Accelerator (iDEA) says that its idea is to help Nigerian entrepreneurs create successful businesses in the areas of mobile apps, enterprise software, linguistic software, custom programming and business intelligence software.
iDEA would be launching its Lagos Centre with four developers sessions facilitated by Google, Blackberry, Microsoft and Nokia which would provide entrepreneurs support to build software skills, solutions and businesses critical to their success.
The Google Developers Session would train developers on how to build an Android App With HTML5; the Blackberry Developers Session would discuss Blackberry’s support for the Nigerian ICT Ecosystem; the Microsoft Developers Session would discuss Windows 8 development; and the Nokia Developers Session would discuss Nokia’s support for Nigerian developers on their pathway to growth.
iDEA is supported by the government, the academia and corporates such as Blackberry, Google, Microsoft and Nokia.
