Two Nigerian Startups To Pitch At Web Summit in Dublin This October
Two Nigerian technology companies, Insidify, a social jobs aggregation platform and MyMusic, an online music distribution platform have been selected to join some of the world’s leading early-stage technology companies at the Web Summit in Dublin, Ireland this October.
The startups will be given the opportunity to pitch to, and meet, some of the world’s leading executives and CEOs from Facebook, Cisco, Box, AOL, Paypal, Kaspersky and Microsoft alongside leading Venture Capital firms like Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Andreessen Horowitz, NEA and others.
Also, renowned tech influencers such as Robert Scoble and Tony Hawk will also be at the event in addition to media from the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times and more.
As Europe’s largest technology conference, with over 8,000 participants expected from across the world this year and companies from over 80 countries exhibiting, alongside some of the world’s most internationally renowned investors, entrepreneurs and media, this seems to be a great opportunity for these Nigerian Internet companies.
“We’re delighted to have these two great young technology companies from Nigeria joining us for the Web Summit this October. The quality of the participants is a real testament to how much the ecosystem in Nigeria has evolved over the past few years,” says Paddy Cosgrave, founder of the Web Summit.
The companies are said to be selected based on their outstanding potential not just in Nigeria, but internationally.
