The Lagos Angel Network (LAN), a premier angel network in Nigeria and one of the most active in Africa has announced it is accepting applications for the Lagos StartUp DealDay.
Lagos StartUp DealDays is a quarterly pitch event where the very best startup ventures (across sectors) are guaranteed funding.
LAN members and other angel investors’ will come together for the event, with each participating investment syndicate investing a minimum of NGN5 million on the day.
Through Lagos StartUp DealDays, LAN is looking to raise NGN100 million from its members and the early stage investment community at large for Lagos startups during 2016.
Lagos-based startups – early customer/revenue or post concept/prototype – looking to raise between NGN5million and NGN25million in funding should apply for the event before March 15, 2016.
Shortlisted startups will be announced/contacted on March 21, and entrepreneurs will be invited to make formal pitches, which will be delivered to a small, closed panel of investors.
Lagos StartUp DealDays will take place on the evening of March 31, 2016 at a yet-to-be-announced venue.
The event is organized in partnership with VC4Africa, TechCabal, the Africa Business Angel Network (ABAN), Lagos based hubs, incubators and accelerators.
The 2014-founded Lagos Angel Network is helping to create a network of business angels that put startup funding and mentoring into early-stage ventures in Lagos, Nigeria.
Since its creation, LAN members have invested in over a dozen Lagos startups.
