Following Andela’s International Women’s Day celebrations on March 8, 2016 in Lagos, Nairobi and New York City, Andela Kenya has announced it is accepting applications for its first all-female developer cohort.
The programme is open to Kenyan women who have a passion for learning, a love for technology, and the drive to become world-class software.
“Andela is a new kind of academic experience. It’s sort of like a university, except instead of paying tuition, you earn a healthy income and benefits. Once you’re done with basic training and ready to advance, we place you as a member of a remote team with one of our partner companies around the globe within 6 months,” Andela stated in a post.
It added, “You’ll get to apply your new knowledge to real work, while Andela provides you with ongoing professional development and coaching to ensure that you evolve with the industry and graduate with the maximum potential for long term success.”
Interested Kenyan women should apply as soon as possible. Applications will close on April 8, 2016. For more information, visit Andela Kenya’s website, and check their social media channels for updates.
Andela was founded on the principle that brilliance is evenly distributed. They believe that talent is gender neutral, and are thrilled to help build the world’s next generation of female tech leaders.
