SEACOM rolls out its Business division to businesses along South Africa’s coast

SEACOM, Africa’s foremost network service provider and ICT enabler, has announced the launch of its Business division to businesses along South Africa’s coast, allowing them access to its best-in-class connectivity and cloud services.

SEACOM Business has placed dedicated sales teams in Durban and Cape Town to service demand (with the opening of an office in Cape Town in April 2016), and has also established channel partnerships with ICT resellers, Service Providers and Systems Integrators active on the coast.

Business customers in Cape Town and Durban metropolitan areas will now be able to buy high-speed bandwidth solutions directly from SEACOM Business and through its resellers at highly affordable prices.

The new service offerings include Fibre Internet Access with options ranging from dedicated 25Mbps up to 1Gbps.

“Across Gauteng, we’re seeing great adoption of our fibre connectivity as well as of our private and outsourced network solutions. Now we’re ready to bring our offerings to the coastal cities, where we see enormous pent-up demand for high-speed connectivity and quality bandwidth at affordable prices,” says Grant Parker, Head of SEACOM Business.

He added, “By bringing our services to Cape Town, Durban, and other regional territories, we aim to help business customers access the reliable and fast connectivity they need to migrate smoothly to the cloud and unleash the full power of video and other modern collaborative applications. We’re also looking forward to working with our channel partners to help bring this next generation ICT enablement to coastal territories.”

SEACOM Business was successfully launched in Gauteng last year. Since that time, an average of 60 business customers a month have signed up for the service with more than 65 partners appointed to support its drive into the business market.

SEACOM Business offers the following services: Internet Access; Ethernet; Private Line Services, and Cloud Services.

SEACOM is leveraging the abundant and scalable capacity of its international undersea cable network and its continent-wide IP-MPLS platform to seamlessly allow business customers to take advantage of the benefits related to the transition to the cloud.

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Mauritius, SEACOM is a privately funded company that provides point-to-point transmission connectivity services across multiple subsea cable systems in Africa.
