Cupertino-based Apple has launched iPhone SE, a small but mighty iPhone which comes with a wonderful array of features.
Launched yesterday, the iPhone SE has been called the most powerful phone, and for good reasons.
It has a four-inch display in a beloved compact aluminium design that has been updated with matte-chamfered edges, a colour-matched stainless steel Apple logo, and four gorgeous metallic finishes, including rose gold.
The iPhone SE spots the same 64-bit A9 chip offered in iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus – offering exceptional performance with for blazing fast speeds – longer battery life, faster wireless, a 12-megapixel iSight camera featuring Live Photos and 4K video, and Touch ID with Apple Pay.
“iPhone SE is an exciting new idea — we started with a beloved, iconic design and reinvented it from the inside out. The result is the most beautiful and powerful phone with a four-inch display in the world,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior VP of Worldwide Marketing.
iPhone SE runs iOS 9 which comes with an easy-to-use interface, amazing features, and security at its core. As with most iPhone, iPhone SE brings powerful built-in apps like Messages, FaceTime, Photos, Music and Maps to iPhone users.
iOS 9 also brings more intelligence to iPhone SE with proactive assistance, powerful search, improved Siri features, and a new Night Shift feature.
The iPhone SE’s 12-megapixel iSight camera features Focus Pixel technology for fast focusing, an Apple-designed image signal processor, advanced noise reduction, third-generation local tone mapping and better face detection, all resulting in sharper, more detailed photos like the ones shot on iPhone 6s.
The most amazing thing about the iPhone SE is that, even with all the innovations that are packed into it, it is still light and compact, and will fit comfortably in your hand and pocket of course.
Philip added, “…everyone who wants a smaller phone is going to love iPhone SE.”
iPhone SE will come in four colour variants – space gray, silver, gold and rose gold – complete with metallic finishes in 16GB and 64GB models and will start selling at US$399 (US) from Apple’s retail stores, Apple.com, Apple Authorized Resellers and select carriers.
Customers in select countries will be able to order the iPhone SE from March 24, 2016 with availability beginning March 31, 2016.
Seriously, I don’t have the words to describe this “small but mighty phone”. Find out more yourself.
The iPhone SE isn’t the only device Apple launched yesterday. An all-new 9.7-inch iPad Pro was also launched.
