With the integration, travellers can receive their KLM flight confirmation message, access their KLM boarding pass, receive check-in reminders, and get flight status updates right inside Messenger.
Travellers also have the added luxury of throwing questions (and jabs, if possible) at customer service and get responses right away!
The service is only available in the United States but in the coming days and weeks, KLM and Messenger users across the world would be able to use the service.
Also, more airlines would be integrated in the nearest future – KLM is the first airline.
The Messenger app is looking to offer users more than just texting and voice calls. Recently, Transportation was launched on the platform with Uber being the first partner.
More services would be integrated into the app as time goes on.
