International Data Corporation (IDC), the premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications, and consumer technology markets, has announced its second annual Egypt CIO Summit will hold on April 11, 2016.
The ICT-focused event, held under the patronage of Yasser El Kady, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, represents the largest gathering of CIOs, business heads, and technology thought leaders in Egypt.
This year’s edition, themed ‘Leading Your Organization’s Digital Transformation’, will see some of IDC’s most respected global vice presidents host workshops on the sidelines of the event, exploring the very latest developments in the areas of cloud hosting and enterprise mobility.
IDC will also host four technology-focused tracks that will present expert insights into the issues currently shaping ICT investment across the wider region.
Two entirely new sessions that will explore the business value of Internet of Things and the rise of Smart City initiatives in Egypt will also be on the agenda of the event.
“Egypt is increasingly being exposed to a new wave of disruptive technologies that present incredible opportunities to drive innovation and value creation across all facets of the organization,” said Jyoti Lalchandani, IDC’s vice president and regional managing director for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey.
He added, “At IDC, we believe the single most important competency required to thrive in this new digital economy is the ability to rapidly respond to changing conditions within the ecosystem in which the organization resides. The ultimate aim must be to deliver a compelling customer experience that seamlessly blends the digital and the physical worlds, but success in this regard will only come with a whole new level of enterprise-wide collaboration that encompasses the entire CxO value chain.”
The event will be hosted in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) at Cairo’s Nile Ritz-Carlton Hotel on April 11, 2016.
Other partners include Dell, Intel, EMC, Aruba (Summit Partners), and Veeam and Juniper Networks in association with Salec (Gold Partners).
