SheHive, an innovative professional bootcamp, is set to hold in New York in June 2016 as part of the SheHive Tour.
The bootcamp is aimed at reconnecting participants with Africa, providing a space for them to meet and network with fellow young ambitious African women living in the US.
SheHive New York will bring together young female professionals and entrepreneurs to learn new business skills, network with their peers and connect directly with potential mentors and investors.
During the programme, over 15 expert led training sessions covering topics that young professional women need to know in order to succeed will take place.
Some of the speakers that will anchor these sessions include Asmau Ahmed (Founder, Plum Perfect), Vanessa de Luca (Editor-in-Chief, Essence Magazine) and Ngozi Opara (Founder, Heat Free Hair).
A special event – Natural Hair + Style Party with stylist Kanayo Ebi and natural hair queen Abby Omoruyi (Catherine Marion) – will also take place during the event.
SheHive New York will take place from June 2-5, 2016 at a location that will be communicated to registered participants.
SheHive New York is the brainchild of She Leads Africa, a social enterprise dedicated to supporting young African women and their journey towards professional success.
The organization has organized similar event in Lagos, Abuja and Accra with plans to host it in Jo’burg, South Africa and London, United Kingdom before the year runs out.
Reminder: Applications for She Leads Africa’s women-only accelerator are still being accepted. Interested participants should apply before May 31, 2016.
