Angel Adelaja Is A Finalist In The Venture And She Needs Your Votes To Get A Share of US$250,000

Angel Adelaja from Nigeria is the CEO/Founder of Fresh Direct Produce and Agro-Allied Services, an agricultural production and processing company.

Her startup manufactures equipment to improve agricultural yields and provide exquisitely grown organic fruits, vegetables and meat using advanced technologies.

The company promotes inclusion of technology for small farmers to boost their yield and income.

Chivas extended The Venture, a global search for the most promising startups possessing the potential to succeed financially and make a positive impact on the lives of others, to Nigeria and she applied and went on to win, scooping NGN1 million in the process.

She was named among the finalists of the competition, together with two other industrious African entrepreneurs who won the local leg of the competition in their respective countries.

There’s US$1 million to be won by the best startups in the competition but US$250,000 of that sum will be distributed amongst the finalists. The distribution will be determined by the public. By YOU!

If you want Angel Adelaja to have a share of the sum, then you should totally vote for her right away. Voting ends in two weeks and you can only vote once in a week. The more you vote, the more her share increases.

You can also vote for the other two African entrepreneurs – Felisberto Capamba from Angola, co-founder of Habitec and Jaco Gerrits from South Africa, CEO of CrashDetect – by clicking here.

After the voting period, an Accelerator Week, where all the finalists will sharpen their business skills through a variety of intensive business master-classes at world leading businesses, will take place.

Thereafter, the finalists will pitch at the global finals to an expert judging panel for a share of the remaining US$750,000.

At the inaugural The Venture competition held in San Francisco last year, South Africa’s Lumkani, which designed an innovative tech-driven fire detector, won US$75,000. It received a total venture funding of US$81,581.

The competition is organized by Chivas Brothers (part of Pernod Ricard), makers of Chivas Regal, a blended scotch whiskey.
