Members and fans of the SociaLiga, Nigeria’s fastest growing social football league, can now pay for games using Paga, a leading mobile payment platform, as both companies have announced a partnership.
The partnership will allow Social Liga fans and members use Paga for events as well as for their daily transactions. Paga offers not only a fast and secure portal for bill payments but also a safe way to send and receive money.
“It is our goal to continually create avenues for the youth to socialise, network and grow through team work, innovation and adapting to the shifting needs our audience and members. This is why the partnership with Paga is particularly attractive; Paga is innovative and constantly striving to streamline and improve e-payment services,” said Dimeji Williams, The SociaLiga CEO.
The SociaLiga is a platform for young Nigerians to continue to satisfy their interest in football as amateurs outside the top leagues in Europe and America in a more organized environment.
The Liga also organizes collaborative social events which require strategy and planning – hundreds of young people give their time offline and online to promote and bring these to fruition.
Its first event on December 19, 2015 at the main bowl of the CIS Sports Arena, Lekki, Lagos had over two thousand people in attendance.
The SociaLiga was established in November 2015 by its founding five teams; The Cubs FC, The Knights FC, The Reds FC, The Royals FC and The Saints FC.
“Paga is glad to be a part of this movement and looks forward to a long and fruitful partnership,” Paga stated in a post.
