TECNO, a leading manufacturer of high-end smartphones and feature phones for emerging markets, has launched yet another phablet as it seeks to consolidate its push to become a major player in the tablet segment of the Nigerian market.
Known as the PhonePad 7 II, the elegantly designed device fuses the computing ability of high-end tablets with top-of-the-line user experience of the Android Lollipop on smart phones.
The PhonePad 7 II comes in an all-metallic finish, a slim bezel, and an ultra-thin unibody which balances its beauty and strength.
The device spots a powerful 4*1.0GHz Cortex A53 processor, a 7 inch IPS display that delivers 170-degree viewing angles, an accurate colour reproduction, movie viewing and an immersive gaming experience.
“We at TECNO Tablet Division are proud to say that, this is another great Pad+Phone device; the next generation Android Phablet designed for productivity and style. For those of you who may have experienced the Droipad 7C Pro and who by now have an understanding of the fusion of Pad productivity and Smartphone elegance will comprehend what am talking about,” said Mr. Gbenga Oguntade, Marketing Lead, TECNO tablet Business Unit.
The device also comes with a massive 4100 mAh battery, which can support standby for weeks on a single charge, 16GB internal memory, 1GB RAM, front and back cameras with dual LED flash and dual SIM card slots – Standard SIM + Micro SIM.
The coolest thing about the device is that it is 4G compatible. This means you can surf and download stuffs at an alarming and unbelievable speed when on a 4G network.
“This PAD + PHONE is something every device enthusiast should have because it matches top-of-the-line performance with premium feel. Equipped with the latest Lollipop (Android 5.1), the Phablet 7 II is specially designed for Android users and delivers a superior user experience” said Peter Shi, Channel Manager, TECNO pad.
The PhonePad 7 II was unveiled at a media conference held at the ATG House, G.R.A, Ikeja on May 26, 2016. In attendance were newsmen, bloggers, e-commerce partners and invited guests.
As with its other devices, the PhonePad 7 II will be available for purchase on several e-commerce platforms and at all retail outlets.
The device was launched due to the growing demand by end users for high performance products in the tablet and pad segment. The last time the company launched a device in that segment of the market was in March 2016.
In the nearest future, the TECNO tablet division will be launching another exceptional device, the Droipad 10 Pro II.
TECNO’s tablets, pads and Tablet PCs are marketed by its Tablet Business Unit. The unit is an independent business unit of the TRANSSION Holdings, TECNO’s parent company.
