Palmchat, a popular mobile messenger app, is currently being used by 1 out of 70 people living on this terrestrial ball called Earth, meaning it has an incredible 100 million users.
With this milestone, Palmchat has now effectively added itself to the list of growing Instant messaging apps around the world.
“We all at Palmchat are proud of this landmark and we’re humbled by the astonishing ways all of you have used Palmchat. Whether through finding a date, or following up on that business lead, we are flattered to be a part of what people are doing to make their lives and the lives of those around them seamless,” said Palmchat Group.
This milestone come weeks after Palmchat launched a new version, Palmchat 5.2, which IM lovers have been using to engage each other in thoughtful conversations and chats.
Palmchat 5.2 comes with new uniquely tailored features such as in-app Palmstore, a totally retooled ‘Broadcast’ and ‘Locals’ handles. So, it is no surprise that the IM app has won the hearts of a lot of Social media users.
Palmchat isn’t stopping at 5.2. There are rumours that another version of the app will be launching soon. This new version is set to come with in-app credit top up function.
If this rumour turns out to be true, I’m pretty sure Palmchat will hit the 1 billion user mark in no time.
Like every other instant messaging app out there, Palmchat is used to send and receive voice messages, pictures and text messages via data. It supports group chat and location-based services.
However, the app has some cool features that sets it apart from other IM apps. An example is ‘Shake Shake’, which allow users make friends easily by shaking their device.
Palmchat is available on multiple platforms including Android, Java, Symbian, BlackBerry and WAP. To join the growing Palmchat community, simply download the latest version here.
