Social digital wallet, Nairabox launches mobile wallet app

Nairabox, a social digital wallet, has announced the launch of a mobile wallet app which allows users to pay for bills, buy airtime, pay for events and cinemas tickets, donate and more.

With the launch, users can do everything quicker and easily, and even get rewarded for doing so. One of the rewards includes 5% discount when users pay with their Nairabox account at BL Restaurant in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Because security is really important, transactions using the mobile wallet are encrypted from end to end, ensuring users transaction details are safe.

“Nairabox is encrypted from end to end. We made sure to mitigate every form of security threat, by encrypting all transactions from end to end, from when you do it on the mobile app itself to the transportation to the server, from there to financial processing and back, it’s all encrypted to ensure that its tamper proof,” said Damilola Jegede, Nairabox cofounder, CEO and Head Developer.

To start using the mobile wallet, simply download the nairobox app, sign up, add funds, and then pay for your goods and services. Nairabox works on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets of all sizes and resolutions!

The mobile wallet app was launched at a press conference at the BL Restaurant in Victoria Island, Lagos on June 2, 2016.

Launched in 2015, Nairabox is a digital wallet that allows its users to pay for goods and services within the app and also make in-store payments.

The app has gained some traction since launch. It is now being used by users and merchants in Lagos, Calabar, PortHarcourt and even the nation’s capital, Abuja.
