Aptly called Seedstars Lagos, the competition will see 10 selected promising startups slug it out for a chance to emerge winner (and crowned the most promising seed-stage startup of Seedstars Lagos 2016).
The winning startup will receive an invite to compete with other startups from across the world for equity investment at the Seedstars Summit in Switzerland.
“Lagos has proved itself, time and again to be the leading innovation hub of the continent. The startups who participated on our event last year were phenomenal and we are very excited to come back this year, as we know for sure the bars have been raised and there will be even more amazing startups coming our way,” said Selam Kebede, Associate for Africa.
Interested startups – less than 2 years old, have raised less than US$500,000 in funding and have built a minimum viable product, ideally with existing traction and scalable nature – should apply by July 29, 2016.
The contest will take place on August 11, 2016 at Seedspace Lagos. It will be filled with disruptive tech, inspirational discussions and networking sessions.
Seedstars Lagos is organized in partnership with Omidyar Network and supported by local ambassador, Seedspace, and the Swiss Embassy, Orange, PayU, The Jacobs Foundation amd others.
