SLUSH, Europe’s leading startup and technology event, has announced a partnership with Ventures Platform, which I described as unusually stylish in this piece, to search Nigerian startups to take part in the 2016 Global Impact Accelerator (GIA).
To search the best startups, Ventures Platform will organize a local competition (pitchathon) in collaboration with with other stakeholders in the tech ecosystem.
The selected startups will head to the GIA in Helsinki, Finland by November 30, 2016.
At GIA, the startups will be offered online pre-mentoring, a bootcamp program, and skills workshops and capacity building with leaders from all around the world.
Also, they’ll receive industry specific matchmaking sessions co-organized with the leading organizations, and get access to Slush 2016, investors and potential partners.
Interested startups should apply by August 12, 2016. The pitchathon will take place at Ventures Park in Abuja on August 27, 2016.
Slush Global Impact Accelerator (GIA) is a program created in collaboration with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and multiple partners globally.
Its purpose is to support startups that are looking to solve some of the most pressing global challenges and contributing to the discussion on impact investing.
