Aptly tagged Seedstars Accra, the competition will see 12 of the country’s most promising startup compete to represent the country at the Seedstars Summit in Switzerland.
At the Summit, the winning startup will compete with other amazing startups from across the world for a chance to emerge winner and win up to US$1.5 million in equity investment prizes.
Ghana was previously represented by Asoriba, a web based church management application designed to enable effective church administration for leaders with seamless engagement for members.
“Accra has proved itself, time and again to be the leading innovation hub of the continent. The startups who participated on our event last year were phenomenal and we are very excited to come back this year, as we know for sure the bars have been raised and there will be even more amazing startups coming our way,” said Selam Kebede, Associate for Africa.
Interested startups, which are less than 2 years old, have raised less than USD 500,000 in funding and have built a minimum viable product, ideally with existing traction and scalable nature, can start applying right away!
The event, organized in partnership with Impact Hub, a co-working space located in Accra, will take place on August 21, 2016.
