D’banj partners MTN to launch new venture to promote creative industry

D’banj, a Nigerian musician (popularly called Bangalee) and entrepreneur, has signed a partnership with MTN, Nigeria’s biggest telecoms company, to launch a new venture to promote Nigeria’s creative industry.

Known as The Cream Platform, it will provide creative minds (those unsigned hypes) the opportunity to win the following: a song & video recording session, ‘collabo’ with artiste of their choice (music or video), talent showcase, talent branding, promotion and marketing (showbiz).

“A partnership with MTN and DKM to launch a platform of Visible hope for the creative industry where Creative contents will be found , housed , financed , nurtured , published , marketed , distributed and Sold with track-able Monitoring by Content owners without leaving their comfort zones. Supported by Bank of Industry,” D’banj stated on his Instagram page.

The Cream Platform went live yesterday and the response has been huge.

If you’ve got talent, you can join in. Dial *463# on a MTN line. This might be that breakthrough you’ve been praying and fasting about. You never can tell!

Although still an entertainer to reckon with, D’banj has lately being showing his entrepreneurial and business side, and has been involved in numerous initiative targeted at women and youths.

He is the founder of Koko Foundation for Youth and Peace Development, and a ONE campaign ambassador. Last year, he took part in World Bank’s Music4Dev series to raise awareness about poverty and related issues.
