CcHUB Is Hosting A Progressive Web Apps Summit In 3 African Cities

Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB), a Lagos based accelerator and incubator, has announced it is hosting a Progressive Web Apps Summit in 3 African cities.

Progressive Web Apps (PWA), just like bots, are becoming the in-thing. They combine the best of the web and the best of apps, giving users an amazing experience.

They load quickly, even on spotty networks, can re-engage with users by sending web push notifications, have an icon on the home screen and load as top-level, full screen experiences.

The Summit aims to help developers better understand and build Progressive Web Apps.

At the event, there’ll be talks and hands-on codelabs covering Progressive Web Apps (PWA) with a focus on Instant and Offline Mobile Apps with Service Workers, Deep Engagements on Installable Apps and Push Notifications and much more.

The participating developers will be provided with the skills and resources necessary to start building their own Progressive Web Apps.

Also, there’ll be various sessions on Progressive Web Apps all of which will be facilitated by Googlers and Web Technologies Experts from around the world.

The Summit will take place in Crowne Plaza, Upperhill, Nairobi (August 15), VCP Hotel, Lagos (August 18), and The Capital, Johannesburg (August 22).

Top developers from agencies, publishers, startups and indie developers, focusing on web apps / web sites can apply to be a part by August 5, 2016.

The Summit is organized in partnership with Google.
