CompexAfrica launches to make buying and selling companies much easier

Because mergers, acquisition and exits are not commonplace in Africa, CompexAfrica, an online marketplace for buying and selling companies in Africa, has been launched in Lagos, Nigeria.

The platform lets people list their businesses and match them to buyers using brokers and business advisory companies.

At launch, the platform has over 100 businesses already vetted and listed and brokers who have been prequalified.

The brokers include professional firms with expertise in due diligence, financial analysis and, mergers & acquisition experts.

CompexAfrica will keep listing more businesses and brokers, and hopes to become Africa’s biggest market for mergers, acquisition and exits.

The startup is backed by Sasware, a tech investment company that launched Start-up in Residence (STAIR) back in March 2016.
