Seedstars World, the global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes, has selected 8 startups to pitch at the Nigerian leg of its competition.
The 8 startups will pitch in front of a panel of judges for a chance to emerge winner and crowned the most promising seed-stage startup of Seedstars Lagos 2016.
Aside the crown, the winning startup will fly Nigeria’s flag the global finals of the competition in Switzerland. There, it will compete with other startups from across the world for equity investment.
“Our mission is to discover startups that come from bustling, emerging economies like Nigeria and give them access to opportunities for support and funding,” said Benjamin Benaim, founding partner at Seedstars.
The event will take place in August 11, 2016 at Seedspace Lagos. It promises to be filled with disruptive tech, inspirational discussions and networking sessions.
