Search engine for Kenyan businesses set for official launch

A search engine for Kenyan businesses, which has been claimed to be the very first, is set to be officially launched on August 24, 2016.

My Finda, as the search engine is named, seeks to bridge the gap between the consumer and the seller by providing visibility and accessibility to local Kenyan businesses.

The search engine provides free business listing and paid subscriptions, which are packaged differently as per the need of the user i.e. basic, bronze, silver, gold and platinum – the different subscriptions have different added values.

The paid subscriptions range from Kshs 1500/- to a maximum of Kshs 6,000/- per annum, making it affordable for all types of businesses. Online payments are possible on the platform.

Businesses can register by simply logging into the website or the Android & iOS app and chosing the package that meets their business needs.

The launch will be held at Crowne Plaza, Upperhill in Nairobi on the aforementioned date from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Originally launched in January 2016 by Maliha Sheikh, founder of Nairobi-based company, Find’a Mobile Application Limited, My Finda has almost 400 businesses registered on it and at least 5,000 downloads.
