Affinis Labs, a social enterprise that leverages innovation and social entrepreneurship to tackle pressing global challenges, is organizing a pitch competition to support Kenyan startups.
Known as +254 Rising, the competition is designed to support the next generation of innovative Kenyan startups.
A select team of talented young Kenyan entrepreneurs will compete in the competition to imagine new mobile products, tools and services that could form the basis of a brand new startup.
The teams, who have been working on their ideas for a while now, will pitch to a judging panel and live audience.
The winning team will receive US$5,000 for seed funding and six months of mentorship and training at the iHub startup incubator in Nairobi.
The event will take place on August 23, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at iHub, located on Ngong Road in Nairobi.

The event is organized in partnership with ARC and iHub.
