CcHUB Is Organizing A Hackathon To Find Solutions For Stopping Violence Against Women

Co-Creation Hub, a Lagos based accelerator and incubator, has announced it is organizing a hackathon to help find tech-based solutions that’ll put a stop to violence against women.

Tagged CHIMEHACK 3, the two-day hackathon will bring together hackers along with issue experts and non-profit leaders to create tech-driven solutions focused on gender equality.

These tech solutions will leverage social media in reporting and eliminating violence against women and girls around the world.

There are two ways to be a part of the event. If you have an idea that can help solve the problems, you can submit it HERE. If you’re a hacker and/or developer, you can register to participate in the event.

There are prizes to be won. Winners, who will receive cash and in-kind prizes, will be selected based on criteria such as best product, scalability and global impact, user experience and design, engineering excellence and most original.

The hackathon will take place on August 27 – 28, 2016 on the 6th Floor by CcHUB in Yaba, Lagos. On August 26, there’ll be an info session from 5 PM to 7 PM.

CHIME 3 is organized in partnership with CHIME FOR CHANGE, Global Citizen, and Facebook with support from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
