Rich Tanksley to cease being CEO of Pulse Nigeria, takes on new role

Pulse Nigeria, a popular news platform, has announced Rich Tanksley will cease being its CEO. According to the company, Tanksley will “transition out of his full-time role as CEO of Pulse Nigeria over the next few months.”

Tanksley will join Ringier Africa, a leading diversified digital media company on the continent and parent company of Ringier Nigeria, as a consultant and ambassador.

He is charged with helping Ringier Africa grow existing and new properties in Africa.

Tanksley joined Pulse Nigeria in early 2015 and helped grow it to one of the largest digital media companies in Nigeria.

Outside being CEO of Pulse Nigeria, he’s a Nollywood actor. He stars as Josef on the iRokoTV series Husbands of Lagos, and has been in several other Nollywood movies like Remember Me and The Guardian.

He plans to continue making cameo appearances in Nollywood films and serve as a connector between Pulse and Nollywood.

Stepping into Tanksley’s role (for the time being I guess) will be Philippe Greinacher, who is currently co-product Manager at Pulse Ghana.

He will act as the Director of Sales and Partnerships at Pulse Nigeria and Pulse Ghana, and help continue to grow the company.

Pulse Nigeria, which is a Ringier Nigeria brand, offers it numerous readers latest gists, sport updates and lifestyle tips, and current trends and stories in the music and show business.

It also runs two of Lagos’ biggest weekly events – Pulse VIP Nights and Pulse Industry Nights. It also runs Pulse TV and a classifieds platform.
