He will head the business development team of Uber Sub-Saharan Africa, working hand in hand with Uber’s GM for sub-Saharan Africa, Alon Lits, on business development initiatives on both the rider and driver sides.
From Johannesburg, South Africa where he’ll be based, Justin Spratt will be reporting into Europe.
Spratty, as he is fondly called, is a well-known ICT and advertising industry executive in South Africa.
He became Chief Growth Officer at Quirk last year, becoming responsible for new business revenue growth across Quirk’s five offices – London, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and Nairobi.
Prior to becoming CEO, he was Agency Group CEO and Managing Director, Africa between 2010 and 2013.
He was a former GM at Internet Solutions, where he worked on mobile solutions, Wi-Fi and managed www.islabs.co.za.
Spratt has a BCom (Hons) Finance & Economics from University of KwaZulu-Natal and a MBA, Strategy & Finance from Gordon Institute of Business Science.
