Lagos Startup Week set to hold this month

The Lagos Startup Week, an annual week-long celebration of startups in Lagos, is happening in Lagos from September 24 – 30, 2016 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel.

Tagged “Be Inspired”, the event promises to further establish Africa and particularly Lagos, in its rightful place in the world of technology, entrepreneurialism and innovation.

The event will feature, as usual, panel discussion, pitches and conference style talks, and free masterclasses for startups, product launches and a Startup Exhibition.

On hand to speak at the event will be successful startup founders, local and international investors, industry giants and domain experts.

“The present Nigerian economy however tough presents tremendous opportunity for Startups to capitalise and establish leading positions in the market place. This year’s events are Community led, all about building each other up and fostering the growth of a supportive environment to launch new businesses whilst ensuring viable start-ups are linked up to willing investors and mentors alike,” said Mr Olumide Olayinka, organiser, Lagos Startup Week.

At the end of the weeklong event, attendants will be fully fired up and inspired to take on new challenges and initiatives even in a difficult economy.

The event is open to entrepreneurs, developers, investors and lovers of all things tech. Register HERE if you’re interested in attending.

The inaugural edition took place last year and it was highly successful – over a thousand entrepreneurs attended and over 60 startups with more than US$1.5 million of investment were featured.

Lagos Startup Week is organized by StartupLagos, a platform for startups to find the very best resources to help them grow and scale.
