The session is being organized to provide business support for brilliant student innovators, who are not in short supply in our tertiary institutions.
Termed “From University Research to Real World Innovation”, the session will provide student innovators the chance to pitch their innovations (which could their final year project or whatnot) to potential investors.
From the applications received, the 10 best innovations will be invited to pitch in front of a panel and potential investors during the Lagos Startup Week from September 24 – 30, 2016 in Lagos.
The winners will receive access to tools and resources, a co-working space powered by Leadspace, a Fab Laboratory/Innovation Lab (depending on the innovation), and a network of mentors and investors,
Also, they will receive other freebies which would include access to collaboration tools and cloud hosting services.
“This would be an engaging experience for students during Lagos Startupweek. Collaboration and knowledge sharing is vital to increasing our ability to tackle some of the major challenges in society today “ said Olumide Olayinka, Member Organising Team Lagos StartupWeek.
Interested Nigerian students (both home and abroad including postgraduate students and recent graduates) should apply for the program by September 20, 2016.
