The 2016 edition of Payments East Africa, East Africa’s leading conference for the payments industry, will be taking place this month with over 800 attendees expected to grace the occasion.
Banks and telecoms worldwide are rethinking their current business models and sources of revenue in light of Fintech competitors and revolutionary technology.
Payments East Africa presents an opportunity for them to meet people who matter to their business, and learn all there is to learn in order to stay relevant and competitive.
The event will feature conferences and workshops with over 82 expert speakers earmarked to speak. The speakers include Patrick Wanjohi, Financial Services – M-Pesa, Safaricom (Kenya), and Alix Murphy, Senior Mobile Analyst at WorldRemit (UK).
The attendees will learn about the future of Fintech, financial inclusion, mobile money and digital banking, and how central banks’ regulations can boost financial inclusion and expand card portfolios from these speakers.
There’ll also be time for exhibitions. More than 50 exhibitors will be on the exhibition floor to showcase products which attendees can purchase to enhance their businesses.
The event will hold on September 27-28, 2016 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya. Interested participants can book a place HERE!
This is the second edition of the event. The first, which took place last year, was highly successful.
“We’ve had a great response and feedback these past few weeks from banks wanting to learn more about how digital can help them become more cost effective and operationally efficient whilst maintaining margins (in lite of the recent capping of interest rates by the Central Bank). The reality is that the industry knows that technology can be a great differentiator in what is a very competitive market place as consumer expectations evolve on a daily basis,” said Joseph Ridley, General Manger, Terrapinn (organizer).
