On November 1, 2016, ROK Studios, a leading African film and television studio and production house, will launch a channel on DStv, a digital satellite TV with presence across Africa.
The new channel will launch with ROK Studios’ exclusively-produced content, including “Festac Town,” “Banks Chronicles” and “Bloodline” and will be available to DStv Premium, DStv Compact Plus and DStv Compact customers.
Some of the ROK Studio’s content will also be available on the DStv Catch-Up service.

Broadcasting our original content to millions of movie fans across the African continent, on a platform as far-reaching and illustrious as DStv, is an exhilarating prospect,” said Mary Njoku, CEO of ROK Studios.
The new channel will be fully programmed, produced and developed by ROK Studios, which is based in Lagos, Nigeria and headed by the tireless Mary Njoku, who is armed with over 12 years filmmaking experience.
The channel will be available in 52 countries, airing original contents round the clock.

This news is coming on the heels of ROK Studio’s channel launch on Sky, the largest PayTV operator in Europe, on September 29, 2016.
Officially launched some time in 2014, ROK Studios owns one of the largest content libraries in Nigeria, with blockbuster films and series.
Some of its films and TV series, which have been watched in numerous countries around the world, includes Thy Will Be Done, A Woman Scorned, Cheaters Vacation, Hazeezat and Husbands of Lagos.
