Ghana’s MEST now uses Flippy Campus for official communications

Ghana-based business incubator and accelerator, Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST), has started using Flippy Campus for official internal communications.

A MEST alumni, Flippy Campus is a social application that helps students to stay in touch with happenings on their campuses.

Students can get to know other people on their campus, department and halls on the app, and also discover trending hot topics as well as events happening on campus.

Announcements from departments also go live on Flippy Campus so students don’t need to visit any notice board for information. In addition, Flippy Campus allows students to interact with students from other universities.

MEST partnered the startup in bid to improve internal communications and transparency between its administrative staff, teaching fellows and entrepreneurs-in-training (EITs).

“MEST and Flippy Campus have recently partnered to enable better communication and transparency between the MEST administration and entrepreneurs. The affiliation with Flippy and MEST runs deep as Flippy is a company founded by MEST alumni. We couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve created and are privileged to be privy to their technology,” said Todd Holcombe, Head of Faculty at MEST.

MEST sent its first Flip post to its students and entrepreneurs using the Flippy Campus app some few weeks back.

“Working with institutions with standards like MEST is great endorsement for us; we hope that it provides value for them and we are able to get useful feedback to help us improve and achieve our goal of becoming the social media platform/ communication tool for universities across the continent,” said Ammishaddai Ofori, CEO of Flippy Campus.
