The ARCHOS 101 Internet Tablet is part of the Archos Generation 8 range, distributed between 2010-11.

It is a 10.1 inch Internet tablet with dual-boot capability supporting Android and Ångström GNU/Linux operating systems out of the box.

As the manufacturer’s product page states, the tablet is completely open to programmers, letting them even install alternative operating systems to create their own applications and have complete control over their system environment.

The tablet features 10.1-inch multi-touch display with pinch-and-zoom capabilities, an ARM Cortex A8 1.0 GHz processor for fast web browsing, HD multimedia playback, and multitasking across applications.

The Archos 101 also has an HDMI port and a full size USB port from which USB keyboards and mice may be used, as well as flash drives.
