That's not a typo – we're looking at a staggering 5.6 billion subscriptions worldwide by 2029, translating to 60% of all mobile subscriptions.

The report also highlights the decline of older technologies like 2G and 3G networks as operators prioritize spectrum for 4G and 5G deployments. Additionally, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) is emerging as a significant application of 5G technology, particularly in regions with limited fibre access.
