CHART: A Look at India's PC Market Performance in Q2 2024
The Indian PC market is on a positive trajectory, driven by a combination of consumer demand, commercial growth

- All three PC categories - desktops, notebooks, and workstations saw a YoY increase of 5.9%, 7.4%, and 12.4% respectively.

India's traditional PC market (including desktops, notebooks, and workstations), is on fire.
After four consecutive quarters of growth, the market saw another surge in the second quarter of 2024, with shipments up by a solid 7.1% year-over-year (YoY), driven by strong demand in both consumer and commercial sectors.
The consumer segment witnessed a particularly robust 11.2% YoY increase, fueled by both online and offline channels. E-tailers saw a significant boost, with sales growing by 22.4% YoY. Back-to-school and college campaigns, coupled with Independence Day sales promotions, further stimulated demand.
The commercial segment also joined in the growth trend, expanding by 3.5% YoY. Small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and large businesses (LBs) were the driving forces behind this growth, with respective increases of 12.4% and 33.1%.
The market also noted growth across all PC categories in the quarter with desktop, notebook, and workstation all witnessing 5.9% YoY, 7.4% YoY and 12.4% YoY growth respectively.
