Imagine a world where logistics operations are seamless, efficient, and tailored to the unique needs of every customer. That's precisely the vision of Agraga, a digital logistics startup that is making waves in the Indian logistics industry.
Its main mission has been to tackle the challenges faced in the delivery process, especially when multiple intermediaries are involved. It aims to revolutionize turnaround time and make it faster and more efficient through its digital platform.
To actualize this aim, the startup has raised INR 70 Crore (~ $8.51 million) in a Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures, with Alteria Capital also joining in the excitement.
Venkatesh Narayanaswamy and Anoop Raghavan, the brilliant minds behind Agraga, started their operations in 2021. Since then, they have been offering a wide range of services, including rail and road transport, ocean and air freight, warehousing, customs, insurance, and finance. According to the startup, its digital ecosystem is equipped with data analysis, partner integration, product curation, and optimising supply chains to provide tailor-made solutions to their customers,
In terms of numbers, Agraga has managed to gain the trust of 200 customers in the enterprise and MSMEs segment and gathered more than 500 digitally connected partners. With the new funding secured, Agraga has ambitious plans to extend its presence in India from the current three cities to more than 15 cities by March 2024.
Agraga says it would put some of the funds into enhancing its technology stack and providing end-to-end solutions, while it keeps an eye on expanding into emerging markets of ISC (Indian Subcontinent) and SEA (Southeast Asia) regions.
