AI chipmaker Rebellions raises $22.8 million in Series A extension
AI chipmaker based in South Korea, Rebellions, has raised an extension of its Series A round at $22.8 million from KT, a South Korea-based telecom company.
- The fund will be invested in the mass production of its second AI chip prototype, ATOM, usable by companies in cloud servers and data centre sectors.
- The investment is based on KT's commitment to making NPU (Neural Processing Unit) for companies such as data centres, self-driving car makers, and financial trading.
- The chipmaking startup has now raised $102.8 million since its launch in 2020.
- Pavilion Capital, Korean Development Bank, SV Investment, Mirae Asset Capital, KT Investment, and Kakao Ventures participated in the Series A round.
