As Apple's AI revolution continues to gain momentum – following its recent integration of Apple Intelligence on apps across its devices – the smartphone company is looking to expand this effort into more apps.

Reports suggest the tech giant's next AI endeavour might be a review summary feature in its App Store.

Based on a report from 9to5Mac, Apple could soon announce an AI-powered feature that will generate concise summaries of user reviews, making it easier for users to make informed decisions about app downloads. These summaries will also never be set in stone, constantly evolving with every new review that the app gets.

This way, people looking to install an app can easily glance through to see what others are saying about it instead of having to scroll through a long endless mix of both positive and negative reviews.

Plus, as reported by Apple Insider, this feature won't be one-sided; developers will have the option to flag any summaries they disagree with.

The feature is also expected to be powered by Apple's in-house Large Language Model, which also powers Apple Intelligence. According to the original report, this feature is expected to launch only in "select regions," at least for now.

Apple Intelligence has arrived on iPhones — here are the 9 key features you can use now
The latest update finally delivers Apple Intelligence to compatible iPhones, including all iPhone 16 line up and the iPhone 15 Pro models.

Unfortunately, all this largely falls under speculation as there has been no official word from the Big Apple, leaving all this largely unconfirmed. As things are, no one is entirely sure exactly what this feature might look like or when it will launch.

What we can say for sure is that if Apple decides to launch this feature, it would signal a noticeable shift toward making AI a core part of our tech lives.

Recently, Google rolled out its AI search summary feature, which helps users by condensing vast amounts of information online into much more manageable bites. Google says that with this latest rollout, its AI overview could attract over 1 billion users globally. So, Apple may also aim to introduce these AI improvements to drive more people into its ecosystem.

Still, this highlights a larger trend among big tech companies, shifting from merely using AI to complete tasks to using it to improve the quality of experience with tech.

These small changes here and there show how AI is continually being integrated to improve our interactions with technology and vice versa. For now, though, we’re left waiting for an official word from Apple about this feature to see if it’s something we should look forward to.
