"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", is gradually making its way to the $1 billion mark
"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", a new release by Marvel Studios is already on its way to hitting the $1 billion mark. The film-making studio is now hoping that the movie becomes its 11th billion-dollar grossing film.
"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" sequel to 2018′s “Black Panther” – which earned $1.3 billion – has had a strong performance at the box office since its release and is currently more than halfway to the billion-dollar mark, with a $552 million gross as of Nov. 23, according to Box Office Mojo data, including a $293 million domestic haul in the US.
Over the past decade, Marvel Studios has created some of the highest-grossing movies in filmdom. Its 2019 release, Avengers: Endgame, is the second highest-grossing movie ever at the box office, only behind, James Cameron's Avatar. Two other movies by the studio make the top-10 lifetime list.
The mega studio continues to set a benchmark in filmdom, with 10 of the 29 Marvel films released before “Wakanda Forever” having grossed more than $1 billion at the global box office.
