AI startup Rabbit Introduces $199 Standalone AI Device, R1

  • Rabbit, an AI startup, has unveiled an ambitious standalone AI voice assistant device similar to what you'd get from Alexa or Google Assistant on your traditional smartphone.
  • Called the R1, the $199 device features a small 2.88-inch touchscreen, an analog scroll wheel, two microphones, a speaker, and a rotating camera. The Rabbit OS employs the Large Action Model, enabling the device to perform various tasks through user interface interactions. The device is priced at $199 and is available for preorder with shipping set to begin in March.

Samsung's Smart Home Hub on Wheels - Ballie Robot

  • Samsung showcased an updated version of its Ballie robot at CES 2024, now bowling ball-sized and equipped with a built-in projector. Ballie can display movies, video calls, workout routines, and more on surrounding surfaces. The robot acts as a smart home hub on wheels, interacting with various devices and displaying information from these various devices. Samsung plans to make Ballie available for sale by the end of the year.

Telly Previews "Hey Telly" Voice Assistant Powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT for Personalized TV Interaction

  • Telly, known for ad-supported 55-inch 4K TVs, is introducing "Hey Telly," a voice assistant based on OpenAI's ChatGPT. The voice assistant is set to offer personalize TV experiences, suggesting recommendations and adapting to user preferences. This is an upgrade over its existing SoundHound-powered voice assistant, which focuses on basic tasks.

Asus Unveils Glasses with Wearable Display for Connected Devices -AirVision M1

  • Aiming to provide a hands-free display solution with a sleek design, Asus is introducing a pair of glasses which interact with content from a connected phone or computer. Called the AirVision M1, it features a 1080p Micro OLED display with a 57-degree vertical field of view. The glasses provide a VR screen experience with built-in speakers and a wired connection using DisplayPort.
  • Similar to TCL's NXTWear, the AirVision M1 addresses the challenge of bulkiness and potential awkward appearance, targeting use cases like travel or short sessions. Pricing and availability details are yet to be revealed.

Asus Unveils Dual 14-inch OLED Screens - Zenbook Duo (2024)

  • Asus has introduced the latest iteration of its Zenbook Duo series, the Zenbook Duo (2024), featuring two equally sized 14-inch OLED screens. Unlike its predecessor, this model provides users with 19.8 inches of combined screen space, offering a resolution of up to 2880 x 1800 and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
  • The laptop is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, 32GB of RAM, and up to 2TB of storage. It also features a detachable Bluetooth keyboard that integrates a trackpad that attaches to pogo pins on the edges of the lower screen.

  • Supernal, Hyundai's electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) division, introduced the S-A2 concept at CES 2024. Designed for 4-person urban air mobility, the company plans for production readiness by 2028
  • The aircraft promises quiet operation, a cruising speed of 120 mph, and an altitude of 1,500 feet. Supernal, benefiting from Hyundai's manufacturing capabilities, emphasizes battery advancements and aims to address regulatory challenges for FAA certifications in the urban air mobility sector.

Lamborghini Introduces Telemetry X for Real-Time Performance and Biometric Tracking

  • Lamborghini is offering advanced features for supercar enthusiasts with its recently unveiled Telemetry X system at CES. Telemetry X, a real-time performance and biometric data-tracking system includes features like Remote Garage for remote coaching, Biometric Data for monitoring driver health, and a Digital Co-Pilot for analyzing lap times and providing driving tips. Google is Bringing its Native Google Apps to Cars

  • Google announced new features for Android Auto, allowing electric vehicle owners to share real-time battery information through Android Auto. The feature will be available to Android Auto users, starting with the Ford Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning. Additionally, Google Chrome is coming to select vehicles with Android Automotive, enabling users to browse websites and access bookmarks while parked.

Samsung and Microsoft Collaborate to Integrate Copilot Across Devices

  • Samsung and Microsoft are deepening their collaboration, bringing Windows Copilot to Galaxy devices -notably the Galaxy Book 4 and Galaxy. This integration enhances text message functionalities, including finding, reading, summarizing messages, automatic draft creation based on prior usage, and sending messages directly from a PC.
  • Additionally, later this year, users will be able to use their Galaxy smartphone cameras as webcams on PCs during Microsoft Teams meetings. Meanwhile, Samsung is also incorporating Microsoft's Copilot key into its laptop keyboards, starting with the Galaxy Book 4 series in the US.
