Notably, a significant number of the year's most successful games were cross-platform releases, with console games taking a larger share of the revenue market at 56%, compared to PC games at 44%.

But, despite this recovery in 2023, a report by Newzoo exploring the current trends and future prospects of the PC and console gaming market has presented cautious optimism for the market in 2024 through 2026, with significant growth expected to be on hold.
