Microsoft wrapped up its fiscal year 2024 with a solid performance, posting revenue of $64.7 billion for the fourth quarter ended July 30, a 15% increase compared to the same period last year. This brought the company's total annual revenue to a hefty $245.1 billion, representing a 16% jump.

The tech giant's continued growth was thanks to the strength of its three business units including its cloud servers and services, Office and productivity products, and Xbox content and services.

Of the three, the Intelligent Cloud segment focused on Azure and server products was the top performer in the June quarter. This division's revenue skyrocketed by 19% to $28.5 billion, cementing Microsoft's position as a cloud computing powerhouse.

The Productivity and Business Processes segment, encompassing its LinkedIn businesses, also saw a respectable 11% growth, contributing $20.3 billion to the top line.
