CHART: A look at the social media usage landscape in Africa in 2023

In recent years, Africa's social media scene has continued on an upward trajectory, witnessing an impressive surge in the number of users.

As of 2022, the continent saw a staggering 384 million social media users, per data from Statista, signifying the growing influence and ubiquity of social platforms.

Digging deeper into the African social media landscape and uncovering key trends, a recent survey conducted by GeoPoll in August 2023 focused on four African countries, namely, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa. With a sample size of 4,170 participants, this survey provided valuable insights into social media usage across the continent.
