According to a recent report by the International Data Corporation (IDC), smartphone shipments surged by a healthy 7.8% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2024, reaching 289.4 million units. Even better, this marks the third consecutive quarter of growth, a strong indicator that the industry is shaking off the challenges that plagued it recently.
